The house, corner by corner
Living rooms with a library and stained glass, dining rooms beneath brick arches, suites full of art, a Talavera courtyard with its garden and the red façade that is now part of the Pastita landscape.
The courtyard and garden
Brick arches and a garden to linger in
Behind the red façade, the house opens onto a courtyard of terracotta and Talavera: brick arches, a cartwheel, the blue wrought-iron table and a tiled staircase climbing between flowerpots. Beyond lies a garden of lemon trees that keeps the remains of the old mining aqueduct, where you hear the birds more than the city.
The details
The house tells its story in the details
Bronze frogs on the doors, a tiled Virgin, a volcanic-stone metate: every corner holds something made by hand.
